Ever heard of a wardrobe with a majestic lion, an evil witch, and even a couple of talking beavers inside? Well, come journey through the magical land of Narnia where you will meet these characters and more as the Actor’s Charitable Theatre (ACT) brings The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe to the Bama Theatre in downtown Tuscaloosa, Dec. 15-18.

If you’ve ever wanted to view a Christmas parade on the water, now’s your chance. On Saturday, Dec. 9, the community can enjoy the annual Christmas Afloat parade. The recreational boating club Pirates of the Warrior will host its annual lighted Christmas parade.

Only a few months ago, Tuscaloosa lost one of its most influential members of its community. Lucy Jordan’s impact was so widespread, even many who didn’t know her have been impacted by her kindness and dedication. For those who did, her giving heart and faithful service to everyone in need earned her the nickname “Mama Lucy.”

An Evening of Arts ‘n Autism, an annual event benefiting Arts ‘n Autism, will be held this Thursday, November 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Harrison Galleries at 2315 University Blvd. in downtown Tuscaloosa.
