Local School's Baseball Team Lights it Up Blue for Autism on Miracle League Field Kathryn Taylor Miller

The North River Christian Academy JV Charger baseball team sponsored a Light it Up Blue for Autism Dress Down Day on Apr. 2.

James and Samuel Godwin, who also play for the Miracle League, came up with the idea along with their mom, Dawn Godwin, one of the MLT coaches.

The entire school participated. The boys also asked for donations from friends. The total collected was $750. The boys came to the Miracle League field on Saturday, Apr. 6, to present the game balls purchased by their donation and to buddy with the Miracle League players.

The Miracle League of Tuscaloosa will continue with its themed games throughout the spring season, including May Day (May 4) and Silly Sock Day (May 11).
