Boating Safety Help is Just a Touch of The Screen Away

Did you know that you can obtain Boating Safety Help using your Smart Phone, iPad or Android device?

By downloading the free Coast Guard App to your device, you can now have boating safety information and advice literally at your fingertips. State boating information, advice on safety equipment and reporting pollution threats and suspicious activity are just a few of the functions that downloading the Coast Guard App puts at your fingertips.                                                                        

The Boating Season is about to start and there is no better time than now to start preparations to help insure yours and your family’s safety while on the water.

The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, the civilian volunteer component of the United States Coast Guard’s, primary Mission is helping to assure the safety of the Boating Public.

US Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 8 5 is conducting a Boating Safety Class on April 8 at the Tuscaloosa County Courthouse Annex, 2501 7th St in Tuscaloosa. This one day class, About Boating Safely, covers such topics Federal and State Requirements, Navigation Rules of the Road, and What to Do in Boating Emergencies.

Successful completion of the class meets all requirements to obtain an Alabama Boaters License.
