Local group plans watch party for Women’s World Cup action

The U.S. takes on Sweden on Friday as the FIFA Women’s World Cup soccer action continues, and one local group plans to host a watch party for all the fans at Innisfree in downtown Tuscaloosa.

The American Outlaws is a national fan base for the U.S. national soccer teams. Local organizers are hoping to recruit enough members to form an official local chapter. In the meantime, the group is enjoying watching the Women’s World Cup action together in Tuscaloosa.

Earlier this week, Team USA beat Australia 3-1 in the opening of its 2015 Women’s World Cup campaign. A good crowd got together at Innisfree to watch together.

Hopes are high for another victory on Friday, and AO Tuscaloosa plans to watch every second of the match, cheering the team on, as one.

Kickoff time for the Team USA v. Sweden match is 7 p.m.
