As we ease back into the new normal in town, it’s exciting to see so many of our favorite eateries slowly opening back up. Last month, I mentioned I’m ready for a DePalma’s date night, but when it comes to a family outing, the Gregg squad is ready to sit inside Urban Cookhouse and Chick-Fil-A (hello, kids play area).

Once again, I’ve reached out to some Tuscaloosa area families to see which places they’re looking forward to the most.

We can’t wait to take our twin boys back to Mellow Mushroom regularly because we love pizza, but we’re also excited about having date nights at Southern Ale House again.

We’ve appreciated having the option of curbside from our favorite restaurants, but our family pick to dine in is Hokkaido. The delicious food and entertaining chefs make Hokkaido a place that our whole family loves to eat. Plus, they’ve got some of the best sushi in town.

We are ready to go to The Juicy Crab in Midtown. We’ve gone to the one in Montgomery multiple times and got ready to visit the one in Tuscaloosa, but the pandemic closed it before we had the chance. We’re ready to finally visit the Midtown location.

With three sweet daughters at home, my husband and I can’t wait to have a date night at Avenue Pub. They have the best food.
