April is here, and that means a *lot* of local events to enjoy – both indoors and out. This week includes storm spotter training with James Spann at Shelton State (if you ever wanted to become a storm spotter, now is the time), the Autism Society’s Walk for Autism on Saturday, Theatre Tuscaloosa’s outstanding production of “Company” and more. Get out, take the family, and have a blast!

Happy Official Spring: Spring began on March 20, just in time. Let’s hope that last cold snap was the final one for a good long while. We hope everyone had a lovely spring break, and it’s time to get back into the swing of things in Tuscaloosa and Northport. There are a host of awesome events happening this week, so be sure to get out and enjoy them!

Happy Spring Break, everyone. Not surprisingly, this week’s community calendar of events is a little on the thin side. Still, though, there are a host of neat things you can do with the kiddos if you’re staying in town for vacation.

Need ideas? Check out our calendar, and also, take a look at Tori Linville’s piece on combating spring break boredom in the area with some awesome activities. Have fun, whatever you decide to do. And, for those of you heading to the beach, or Disney, or anywhere else – safe travels!

ALSO: Don't forget Daylight Savings Time starts at 2 a.m. on Sunday - set those close ahead one hour on Saturday evening!

Spring has sprung throughout West Alabama, and that means more time outdoors, and generally (for most of us) a sunnier disposition. Take advantage of some of these great local events and happenings this week - and Tuscaloosa residents, don't forget: municipal and school board elections are Tuesday, March 7!

Roll Tide! Happy National Championship week, everyone!  Has everyone thawed out from the weekend yet? Hopefully you found some time to get out and enjoy the snow – without having to actually drive anywhere. This week kicks off with The Game on Monday night, but that’s not all: Plenty of other fun activities are on tap in coming days.
