Meet the PreK Pals! These kids are fantastic, and they’re the stars of this column. Alicia Jenne’, a veteran teacher of little people, is the PreK Pals Lead Teacher for PreK#1 at Rock Quarry Elementary School and our inquisitive “reporter” – asking the hard-hitting questions everyone wants answers to.
It’s time for the littlest learners to go to big school! Kindergarten is just a short summer away! We asked 2 PreK Pals what they learned this year in OSR PreK.
“We’ve had a lot of fun this year and learned a lot of things. I think the future of our city is safe with these two. PreK… it’s where your future begins.” – Alicia
I learned that transportation means to travel from place to place. I learned all about sea animals and polar animals and all kinds of animals. I learned math! Like, I know that if it’s 16+1 it equals 17 because any number plus one is the very next number! I am going to be a policeman when I grow up!
I learned math! I learned that zero can be a place holder. My favorite thing that I learned is the safety rules. Never play with fire! This is going to be important because I am going to be a firefighter when I grow up!
