CSP Spotlight: Parents & Teachers Make a Great Team

A strong partnership between parents and teachers make for a winning team!  Parents and teachers working together equal a child’s success in school.

As a parent you can strengthen the team by:

Getting to know your child’s teacher

Being involved at your child’s school

Talking to your teacher about what is special about your child such as interests, talents, special needs, behavior or concerns

Asking your teacher if you can help in the classroom, at the school or with special projects at home…VOLUNTEER!

Knowing, supporting and respecting classroom rules

Speaking respectfully of your teacher in front of your child

Keeping lines of communication open between home and school by being warm and friendly, being positive and showing interest and support

Talking with the teacher especially if you have any problems or concerns...again, keeping the lines of communication open

Respecting the teacher’s skills and knowledge

Recognizing the value of TEAMWORK...

Roll Team Roll!

Community Service Programs of West Alabama (CSP), Inc.’s Head Start/Early Head Start, Early Head Start Child Care Partnership and Early Intervention programs engage families and encourage healthy lifestyle choices. Safe and healthy children are ready to learn and explore their world.
