Five Horizons Health Services celebrated with a ribbon cutting February 5, as the organization made its transition official. The former West Alabama AIDS Outreach has added staff and services.

The Community Foundation of West Alabama’s fall grant cycle is happening now, and grant applications are available. The applications for community grants are available for 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, and they must be postmarked no later than October 1.

At the July 7 meeting of the Exchange Club of Tuscaloosa, the Club’s Foundation awarded Community Grants to the following: 

Lean On: Alabama, a new statewide non-profit, celebrated its official launch on Thursday, June 2 with more than 75 supporters in attendance.

Lean On: Alabama is a non-partisan, non-profit organization that brings women together to form intergenerational partnerships by building an innovative statewide platform which promotes collaboration, development, and investment in each other and the community.
The vision for the organization came from founder and president Mary Lee Caldwell.
