The Exchange Club and the Exchange Club Foundation of Tuscaloosa recently presented donations of $1000 to two Tuscaloosa area organizations: the YMCA and Kentuck. Money for the donations came from the Exchange Club’s annual Chili Cookoff, held each year in February.

At the weekly Exchange Club meeting on Thursday, July 13, The Exchange Club of Tuscaloosa Foundation awarded grants to six organizations: Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys & Girls Club, King’s Home, PRIDE, United Cerebral Palsy, and West Alabama Food Bank.   The combined value of the grants was $15,000.

At last week’s Exchange Club of Tuscaloosa meeting, held on Feb. 23, outstanding law enforcement officers from various agencies in the Tuscaloosa region were honored.

At its October 13 meeting, the Exchange Club of Tuscaloosa presented Firefighter of the Year awards to outstanding firefighters in the Tuscaloosa region. The honorees were selected by their peers. The Exchange Club has been presenting these honors annually for 17 years. Exchange also pays tribute to outstanding Law Enforcement Officers annually in February.
