Stillman College to Celebrate 140 Years, Condoleezza Rice Will Speak

Stillman College is about to commemorate its 140th anniversary with a gala celebration. Dr. Condoleezza Rice, former Secretary of State and Alabama native, will be the keynote speaker at a dinner on May 19.

For 140 years, Stillman College has encouraged and endorsed education as a liberal arts institution. Now, the school will celebrate its history and achievements with its celebration, “A Foundation for Life,” next month. Friends, students, alumni and community leaders will all attend.

Condoleezza Rice is the first African American woman to have held this position. A bestselling author, entrepreneur and member of numerous boards, including the Boys and Girls Club of America, Dr. Rice was also appointed to the first College Football Playoff Committee. Dr. Rice is currently a professor at Stanford University.

The dinner and recognition event will be held in the Stillman College Birthright Alumni Hall.
