Community Foundation of West Alabama Awards Spring Grants

The Community Foundation of West Alabama awarded grants to eight area nonprofit groups recently. These grants were funded by the Pelham D. and Anna Brown Endowment Fund and the Community Endowment Fund within the CFWA.

The CFWA awards grants twice yearly based on an application process and has provided in excess of $250,000 support to local agencies. The Community Foundation of West Alabama is a charitable organization which supports various cultural, health, social and educational programs in Bibb, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Lamar, Marengo, Pickens, Sumter, and Tuscaloosa counties. In its 20-year existence, the CFWA has given over $20 million to charitable causes.

The recipients of the 2020 Spring grants are:

Alabama Lions Sight                          Arts ‘N Autism

Family Counseling Services                HEAL (Healthy Eating Active Living)

The Salvation Army                           The Tuscaloosa Children’s Center

Tuscaloosa County PARA                    Will Bright Foundation
