DCL Pet of the Week: Meet Figgy

DCL Pet of the Week: Meet Figgy Humane Society of West Alabama

This sweet, shy boy is Figgy, a 10-month old Border Collie mix. He's the Humane Society of West Alabama's Pet of the Week.

Figgy has a bit of a scruffy reddish tan and white coat and a lean body weighing only 22 pounds but he has some filling out to do. Figgy is still a puppy and will need more socializing and structure to help him gain more confidence in taking on the world - but he is so loving. He will do the Border Collie "chortling" to greet you or get your attention. Figgy will do better in a home with a fenced in yard so he can run and play and would be great as a walking or running partner.

Figgy seems to get along with other dogs and should be fine with children 8 and older. The HSWA has started on his crate training, and he is up-to-date on his vet care, neutered, heartworm negative, and microchipped. How could you not love a dog named Figgy?

All HSWA dogs are either at the Dog Adoption Facility or in foster homes. All dogs require an appointment to meet. Please call 205-554-0011 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to request an appointment to see Figgy. His adoption fee is $75.
