Thirteenth Annual Evening of Arts ‘N Autism: “Holiday Lights 2019” Set for Dec. 5 Arts 'n Autism

An Evening of Arts ‘n Autism, an annual event benefiting Arts ‘n Autism, will be held Dec. 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Harrison Galleries in downtown Tuscaloosa.

This year’s signature event, “Holiday Lights,” will feature an inaugural private Preview Party from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. before the Gallery opens to the public at 6:00 p.m. This preview party will allow a special time for 2019 Event Sponsors to meet the parents of the artists. Food for the evening has been graciously provided by Glory Bound and Sweet Home Food Bar. Special music will be performed by Tuscaloosa’s own Vulcan Eejits.

Now in its 13th year, the collaborative art show features original works by students with autism and area artists, gifts that include a stunning Tag Heuer diamond women’s watch from Hudson Poole, and a set of tires from BF Goodrich.

“This event is crucial in not only fundraising efforts, but in bringing attention to this innovative program,” said Jan Sikes, Executive Director of Arts ‘n Autism. “Arts ‘n Autism offers services to students as young as 18 months through adulthood. Direct services are provided during after school, summer camps, and the LIFEE program for young adults. Art’s ‘n Autism has grown over 15 years with the newest addition being a partnership with Stillman College for our LIFEE program, and an intensive Early intervention program for the young child.”

Tickets for the event are $10 for individuals and $15 per couple, and may be purchased by calling (205) 247-4990, or at the office, located at 2625 8th Street in Tuscaloosa. Tickets may also be purchased at the door the night of the event.
