DCL Pet of the Week: Meet Cheyenne

DCL Pet of the Week: Meet Cheyenne Humane Society of West Alabama

This happy dog is Cheyenne, a 1-2-year-old female Labrador Retriever mix. She’s the Humane Society of West Alabama’s pet of the week.

Cheyenne has a pretty yellow and white smooth coat. She’s a medium sized dog, weighing 36 pounds, and she’s a very sweet, loving, fun dog who loves to play and loves to be with you. She definitely still has some cute puppy energy, so she will need daily exercising.

Cheyenne could be in an apartment dog but only if she gets out daily for exercising. She’ll require a fenced-in yard if left outside unattended – but she’s not to be an outside-only dog. Cheyenne seems to get along with all dogs and should be fine with children 8 and older. The HSWA has started on her crate training and she is up to date on her vet care, spayed, heartworm negative and is microchipped.

All HSWA dogs are either at the Dog Adoption facility or in foster homes and require an appointment to meet. Please call 205-554-0011 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to request an appointment to see Cheyenne. Her adoption fee is $75. Read more information on our adoption process at www.humanesocietyofwa.org/howtoadopt.

Cheyenne is such a charming dog and will bring a ton of joy to your home.
