DCL Pet of the Week: Meet Baxter

DCL Pet of the Week: Meet Baxter Humane Society of West Alabama

Meet the all-around good dog, Baxter! He is a male German Shepherd/Terrier mix, and is between 1-2 years old, weighing 45 pounds. He’s the Humane Society of West Alabama’s Pet of the Week!

Baxter is such a nice dog with an even temperament. He is friendly, social, and has a calm personality. He will make a great walking/jogging partner, but also enjoys his quiet time in the house with his person.

Baxter is too big for an apartment and needs a fenced-in yard to run around in and have plenty of room to exercise. He seems to get along well with other dogs, walks well on the leash, and is crate trained. He also rides nicely in the car. Baxter should be fine with children 8 years and older.

Baxter is up to date on his vet care, heartworm negative and is microchipped. He is a super dog, and once you see him in person and are around him, you will see what a wonderful dog he is!

All HSWA dogs are at the Dog Adoption Facility or in foster homes. All dogs require an appointment to meet.
