Shelton State Community College Foundation's "Wine Women & Shoes" Raises Over $200,000

The Shelton State Community College Foundation hosted its first annual Wine Women & Shoes event on Thursday, March 28 at the Tuscaloosa River Market. The final fundraising total of $200,084.00 was announced at the Foundation’s May Board Meeting on Wednesday, May 15. All proceeds from the event will benefit Shelton State students through scholarship opportunities and support the mission of the College.

“As both a student advocate and an avid shopper, I was certain that Wine Women & Shoes would be a perfect fit for the generous ladies of Tuscaloosa,” said Shannon Chandler, Director of Development.  “Our sold out crowd affirmed that, and we are already making plans for our second year!”

In addition to the fundraising total, the Foundation also announced its plans to host next year’s event on Thursday, March 26, 2020.
