DCL Pet of the Week: Meet Allie

Pictures do not show how sweet and precious this dog is! Allie is an 11-month-old female pit bull terrier mix, and she's this week's Humane Society of West Alabama's Pet of the Week!

Sweet Allie is smaller, weighing only 26 pounds, and she won't get much bigger! She has a smooth, reddish-brown coat with some white on her chest.

Allie will smile all day at you! She is very friendly and social. Allie has a calm and submissive demeanor, but she has her moments of energy. Allie seems to play well with other dogs and should be fine with children 8 and older.

She would be fine living in an apartment, as long as she gets daily walks. She will require a fenced-in yard if in a house. She is not meant to be an outside dog only. Allie loves being with her people way too much.

She has started her crate training. Allie is up to date on her vet care, will be spayed prior to adoption, heartworm negative, and is microchipped. She is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention.
