DCL Pet of the Week: Meet Mona Featured

DCL Pet of the Week: Meet Mona Emily Covington Dog Photography

Meet Mona! She is a 1 to 2-year-old female Labrador/pit bull terrier mix, and she's this week's Humane Society of West Alabama's Pet of the Week!

Mona has a gorgeous black and brown brindle smooth coat with white markings. She is a medium-sized dog, weighing 42 pounds and this is full grown.

Mona thinks she is a lap dog, so we hope you have a good lap if you adopt her! She is friendly, sweet and people oriented. Mona has a nice, medium energy level. She is calm compared to some dogs, but she would also make a nice walking/jogging partner. She is too big for apartment living and will require a fenced-in yard. She cannot be an outside-only dog, because she wants to be with her pack.

Mona seems to get along well with other dogs and should be fine with children 7 and up. Mona has started on her crate training. Mona is up to date on her vet care, spayed, heartworm negative and microchipped. She is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention.

Please call 205-554-0011 or visit humanesocietyofwa.org to request an appointment to meet the available animals.
