The Kentuck Festival of the Arts is the premier art event in West Alabama each year. This year marks the festival’s 46th year, and organizers are putting out a call – volunteers are needed.

Would you like to get involved?

Over 200 volunteers are needed to make the Kentuck Festival of the Arts happen. If you’d like to help, go here and sign up to pitch in. Volunteers are needed in the weeks leading up to the festival, during the festival and for cleanup during the week after the festival. Volunteers are scheduled for a minimum of three hours each volunteer period. If you complete three or more hours of volunteer work, you’ll receive free admission to the festival on the day of your shift, as a “thank you” for your service.

If you are interested in volunteering for Kentuck for Kids, which is an area of the festival that provides children hands-on opportunities to explore different types of art, please click here.

The Specifics: The 46th Annual Kentuck Festival of the Arts will take place Oct. 21-22 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Festival features nationally and internationally acclaimed folk artists – and over 270 folk, visionary, and contemporary artists and expert craftspeople presenting their work. There is free hands-on art-making for children and live interactive demonstrations by craftspeople.
