A Tuscaloosa resident since 1974, Plaster has been involved in numerous charitable and civic activities for more than four decades, mentoring University of Alabama business student interns and serving as an active member of First Presbyterian Church.
Plaster helped establish the Tuscaloosa Rotary Honor Flight, which was set up to take World War II and Korean War Veterans to Washington D.C. free of charge, to tour the monuments constructed in their honor. Beginning in May of 2010, the Tuscaloosa Rotary Honor Flight has completed eight chartered trips to Washington D.C. and transported over 660 Veterans to see the memorials all at no cost to the Veterans.
Plaster has served as the Chairman of The Capital Campaign for Easter Seals West Alabama. In 10 months, The Campaign has raised $1,008,675 of the $1,500,000 goal for the new Easter Seals operating facility.
In 2012, Plaster was named as a recipient of The David Brady Award by Merrill Lynch. Named for David Brady who lost his life in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, the award is among one of the highest honors bestowed by the firm and is given to individuals who provide exceptional service to their clients and communities.
Jordan resides in Tuscaloosa with his wife, Jenny, their son, Harry, daughter-in-law, Elizabeth and grandson, Harry III. Harry is a partner with Jordan in the Investment Management practice.
