McAbee Construction’s Takin’ Cancer for a Ride is Saturday

McAbee Construction Company will host Takin’ Cancer for a Ride this Saturday, April 29th.

The motorcycle ride will begin at Northport Civic Center, travel through rural Tuscaloosa County and end at Rhythm and Brews in downtown Tuscaloosa, according to Casey Johnson, director of development of The DCH Foundation.

“The impact this event has on helping our patients in need is critical to our mission. We are thankful McAbee Construction started the ride back last year after a five year hiatus. Many are riding in honor or memory of their loved ones with cancer,” Johnson said. “In return, they are helping others because their participation benefits The DCH Help & Hope Patient Assistance Fund.”

Registration begins at 10:00 am. Kickstands will be up at 11:00 am. Entry is $20 per bike. T-shirts are also available for $20. Rhythm and Brews will have food, silent auction and door prizes donated by the community.

For more information on this event, visit thedchfoundation.org or call Mike Copeland or Sherry Sexton with McAbee Construction at (205) 349-2212.
