Soroptimist International of Tuscaloosa is planning its Brunch for Boobs on Saturday, Feb. 25, at the Bryant Conference Center. This annual event helps to raise money to support women and girls in the community, as well as Soroptimist’s partners, including the Phoenix House, Priority Veterans, and The DCH Foundation.

This year’s packed purses raffle will feature packed baskets to match the brunch’s theme, “Life is a Picnic.” Guests will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets the morning of the brunch. The raffle is a brunch favorite that both guests and SIT members look forward to.

“My favorite part of the event is hands-down the packed purses,” Soroptimist International of Tuscaloosa member Kacey Obradovich said.

Member Skye Kent adds that her favorite part “happens at that moment when guests round the corner and see the decorations and the [baskets] for the first time. I love to see the excitement on their faces.”

Guests can also make a $25 Bra Buddy donation, which will cover the cost of a critical bra needed after a mastectomy.

“With each donation, there is one chance at the exclusive Bra Buddy Packed Purse,” said Obradovich. The Bra Buddy Packed Purse is worth more than $1000 and donors do not have to be present to win. Donations must be made prior to the event at brunchforboobs.com.

“This event gives us the opportunity to do so much for women and girls in our community,” said Obradovich. “In every project we do, we strive to be women at our best helping other women to be their best.”
