The Edge to Hold First “Demo Day” for Start-Up Tenants on Feb. 24

09 Feb 2017

The Edge incubator has an event coming up designed to spotlight Edge entrepreneurs and their businesses. In partnership with the Alabama Entrepreneurship Institute at the Culverhouse College of Commerce, University of Alabama, The Edge will host the first Demo Day on Friday, Feb. 24 at the Bryant Conference Center.

“It’s an exciting time for entrepreneurs in Tuscaloosa,” said Dr. Theresa Welbourne, Executive Director of the Alabama Entrepreneurship Institute. “We’re seeing businesses emerge in a range of markets, thanks to the resources available in this community. Demo Day allows the public and members of the business community to not only learn more about what the Edge and the Institute have to offer, but also to potentially mentor or even partner with talented entrepreneurs in the early stages of their businesses.”

The event will feature start-up companies housed in the Edge, who will present their innovative business models to potential mentors, business investors, venture capital firms, prospective Edge tenants, and others interested in learning more about entrepreneurship opportunities in West Alabama.

Presenting companies for the event are BioGram LLC, Brewery Buddy, FoodDrop, Forza Financial, SideLinER / Kinematic Sports and U Color.
