Meet Lear Chretien of ABZ Rental in Tuscaloosa. She and her husband, Kyle, (and someday, little son, Liam) run the rental company that provides Tuscaloosa businesses and families with everything from beautiful wedding decor to heavy equipment.   
Lear has a family history in the rental business and brought her acumen to Tuscaloosa. They purchased the business three years ago. 

Where did you grow up?


What was your first job?

 I worked at my parents at their rental store in Maine.

In 10 years you'll be?

Here. We have a good mix.  A balance between work and home.  It took a little while but have it figured out.

What is the first thing you do when you get to the office?

Make sure the heats on and we are ready. And fill my water with filtered water.

What's the most influential book you've ever read and how did it influence your career?

The Secret,  a long time ago

What is the number 1 item on your bucket list?

To own horses again. I used to ride a lot.  It was easier in high school when I had lots of time.

What is the first website you check in the morning?

Our website.  I don't really go on the computer the first hour

Hanson Watkins

Ms. Watkins graduated from Mountain Brook High School and lives in Birmingham with her two boys, Jack, and Charlie. She has bachelor's degrees in psychology and creative writing from Emory University, and an MBA and master's in health administration from Georgia State University. 
Hanson spent 10 years working in the healthcare industry in Atlanta before moving back to Birmingham several years ago to work for her father, Jim Watkins. 
She credits her father, who has owned several businesses over the years, for giving her the entrepreneurial spirit. Her brother, Josh Watkins, is a Birmingham lawyer who helped start the Birmingham Angel Network, a venture capital organization.
