There’s a new chef in town. NorthRiver Yacht Club has announced that Trey Aitken is their new food and beverage director.

Aitken brings over 20 years of experience as owner, chef, and consultant in a variety of local and regional fine dining restaurants to NorthRiver.

During his career Aitken has launched restaurants throughout the Southeast, including Stouffer Vinoy Resort in St. Petersburg, FL, Ruth’s Chris Steak Houses in Atlanta and Memphis, Prime 108 in Nashville, Miko at the Pearl River Resort in Choctaw MS, Green Bottle Grill and 801 Franklin in Huntsville.

“Trey’s creativity, passion and commitment to excellence are keys to his success,” the press release read.

Aitken has created multiple Wine Spectator Award winning wine lists and hosted private wine-maker dinners Bernard Sparr, Bruce Nyers, and Randall Grahm.

“Mr. Aitken is excited to join the NorthRiver team and focus on imaginative, club trending avenues to enrich the member experience at NorthRiver and set a new standard for fine dining in the Tuscaloosa/Birmingham area.”
